All commands are easily available in the main interface. You can search and edit commands quickly and efficiently. Type an abbreviation in any application to trigger the associated command.

Autotext commands allow you to insert boiler plate text, mail templates, salutations or any kind of repetitive text into any application. You can apply rich formatting to text and include pictures, too.

Get access to the last pieces of text you copied into the clipboard and paste them in any application using a shortcut (e.g. CTRL+SHIFT+V)

 

When you type an abbreviation in any application, Direct Access detects it and shows a little tooltip. Press the SHIFT key to execute the command. Commands can also be executed immediately as the abbreviation is detected or after a separator key is pressed(like SPACE, TAB, ENTER or any punctuation mark is typed). So, you can choose the confirmation you prefer to prevent misfires and that better suits your preferences.

 

Insert a special key combination

Use macros to customize commands at runtime:

  • Request an input value when executing a command
  • Search for a term in Wikipedia, on Google, or in a dictionary in any application
  • Create a personalized message and use it many times in the same command
  • Insert the current date / time
  • Insert special characters
  • Insert the contents of the clipboard
  • Insert the value of environment variables
  • Call an autotext from inside another autotext
  • Send special key combinations and special characters (like ALT+F4, TAB) to navigate applications and fill forms
  • Set the final position of the cursor in an Autotext command

 

Adding new commands is very easy. Select the task you want to perform and fill in the details.
Use shortcuts to add new commands for the active application or to create a new Autotext for a commonly used phrase.
Type CTRL+SHIFT+W (for Autotext) or CTRL+SHIFT+A (to create a new Launch Application). After a command has been executed, you can immediately modify it pressing CTRL+SHIFT+E
