An abbreviation is a word that triggers a particular Command: a command can perform different operations, like inserting a piece of text, launch an application, open a website and more. You can use any word or phrase as an abbreviation. You define your abbreviation and decide which task it triggers, adding a command.
When you type the abbreviation, in any application, Direct Access detects it and shows a confirmation tooltip.
Upon pressing the confirmation key [SHIFT], Direct Access executes the requested task.
You can organize related Commands into Groups, which you can then open as a menu. |
