The create commands allows to import commands into Direct Access from many different sources:
To import commands
| 1. | From the File menu, select Import.
Direct Access opens the Import Commands wizard |
| 2. | Select the source that contains the data to import |

Start menu applications
Creates commands to quickly open the applications in the Start Menu.
Desktop
Creates commands to open the files into the Desktop.
Quicklaunch
Creates commands for each shortcut in the Quicklaunch bar (the little area near the Start button used to quickly launch applications).
Recent documents
Creates commands for the recently opened documents.
Special Folders
Creates commands to open the special folders like My Computer, My Network, Desktop.
Documents folder
Creates commands to open each file in the Documents folder.
Folder contents
Creates commands to open each file in the chosen folder.

Other applications

Import data from other applications. Direct Access can import commands in the following format:
| • | Microsoft Word Autocorrect entries |
| • | SmartTypeAssistant data file |

| 3. | Select which commands you would like to import (Direct Access selects all the available commands for you) and click Next |
| 4. | Choose the group in which the new commands will be imported in and click Next |
| 5. | Click Finish to import the command pack |
Options
Create a new group
When checked, Direct Access creates a new group which will contain all the imported commands
Don't import commands for non existing files
When checked, Direct Access doesn't import commands for opening files and folders that do not exist on the machine
