Executing Commands

Once you have defined your commands and assigned the abbreviations, you can execute them.

To execute a Command using an abbreviation

1.Click on an empty area of the desktop or select an open application.
2.Type the abbreviation.
A tooltip asks for confirmation.
Direct Access detects the command and shows the confirmation tooltip

3.Press SHIFT.
Direct Access executes the Command.

Alternatively, keep working and the tooltip vanishes.

To execute a Command from the Direct Access main window

Do one of the following:

-In the Commands Panel, select the Command; then from the Commands Menu, select Execute execute
-In the Commands Panel, double click on the Commands's icon word-icon
-In the Commands Panel, select the Command, then press ENTER

 

Commands with Manual Inputs

With Direct Access, you can create a command and specify additional inputs to be requested when the command is executed. In that situation, Direct Access displays a window, requesting the additional parameters.

OSD Confirmation

When a command is executed, Direct Access displays an OSD message displaying the name of the Command and its abbreviation.
