This Quick Start Tutorial introduces you to Direct Access, so you can start to breeze through common tasks at record speed.

 

To use Direct Access you just need to do three operations:

Define your commands

Define which tasks you want to perform, for example typing a piece of text, opening a folder or a website, or composing an email

Assign abbreviations

Decide which word triggers the task. For example, you can have the word email open your default email application

Execute commands

When you type the abbreviation, in any application, the task is executed.

 

Direct Access can automatically create some sample commands for you, so that you can get started immediately.

For the following explanations, we assume you have created the sample commands.

 

To create the sample commands:

 

1.Click on the Import Commands button import16
2.Choose Sample Commands
3.Follow the Wizard to import the commands

 

A number of commands will be added.
