Using shortcuts to add commands

The quickest way to add commands is by using global shortcuts.

Create a command to type a piece of text

1.Select a piece of text.
2.Type the shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+W:
Direct Access creates a new autotext with the selected text.
3.Make any changes and click commands-confirm.
The new command is added to the chosen group.

 

Create a command to open the active application

1.Type the shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+A:
Direct Access creates a new Launch Application command precompiled with the data of the active application.
2.Make any changes and click commands-confirm.
The new command is added to the chosen group.

 

Edit the last executed command

1.Type the shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+E:
Direct Access opens the last executed command.
2.Make any changes and click commands-confirm.
The changes are saved.

 

You can disable or enable the global shortcuts from the Options, Abbreviation window
