What’s the difference between the trial and the full version? Are there any limitations in the trial?
The trial version of Direct Access is fully functional: the only limitation is that it expires after 30 days of use.
The trial has expired before I had a chance to evaluate it. Can I evaluate Direct Access for some more time?
Sure. Contact customer support and ask for a trial extension license.
Do I need to purchase an additional license to use Direct Access on my home pc and my notebook?
Direct Access is licensed per user and each machine needs a license. If you need to use Direct Access on both your notebook, home PC and office PC we offer a PowerUser extension license option (that you can choose when you purchase) that allows you to install Direct Access on up to 3 PCs (the same license key cannot be shared between different users)
I noticed that Direct Access connects to Nagarsoft from time to time. What is it doing?
Direct Access connects to the Nagarsoft website to check for updates and to anonymously sent usage statistics. Both features can be disabled if you prefer. No personal identifiable information is ever sent to Nagarsoft.
I purchased Direct Access. When will I get my license?
License keys are automatically sent upon completion of the order process. You should receive yours within a few minutes. If you haven’t received it or you believe something is wrong with your order, please contact us.
I lost my license key. How can I get a new one?
Just send us an e-mail and we will mail you a new license key.
Do you have an affiliate program?

Where is saved my data file?
Data and configuration files are located in:
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Direct Access (in Windows XP)
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Direct Access (in Windows Vista)

How can I synchronize data between different PCs?

Does Direct Access work with Windows Vista?
Absolutely. Direct Access has obtain the "Work with Vista" logo and is compatible with any edition of Windows Vista.
When I type on the desktop, I hear a beep every time a key is pressed. How can I avoid that?
Go to Control Panel > Sounds and choose the Sound tab. Then go to the default sound and choose nothing. Click OK to confirm. Now, no beep is played when typing on the desktop.
Abbreviations are not recognized inside Direct Access. Is that normal?
Yes, it is. Abbreviations are disabled inside Direct Access window. This is done to prevent any misfires when modifying and creating commands. You can test your abbreviations inside Direct Access typing them into the test pad.
